Easy do-it-yourself beauty ideas.
So you are having a bad hair day? Just can’t get the make-up right? Or maybe you just want to learn some tips to brush up on your pampering skills. Well listen up girls because this ones for you.
The flyaways-AHHH!- We all hate it when no matter how much we blow-dry, straighten, brush, hair spray, gel or mousse, we still seem to have the few stubborn hairs that seem to want to swing their own way. Try this. Fabric softener sheets work wonders. Just glide one over handfuls of your hair at a time, and in addition to the removal of all static (which is causing the unruly strands) it adds a nice subtle scent.
A perfect solution for dry hands is to create your own Hand Spa. You do this by taking lotion or hand cream and filling a zip-lock bag a quarter or the way full. Zip it closed, mix the lotion around and open it. Insert one hand and lay it on a flat surface. Heat slightly with a blow-dryer and let your hand soak up the goodness for about 5 minutes. When your done, you remove you hand, rub in any access lotion and move on to the next hand. You can use the same bag, adding more lotion if needed.
Blow-dryers are very useful beauty tools. This is a secret of mine that I absolutely love. Before you curl your eyelashes, heat the eyelash curler with your blow-dryer. (Be careful not to get it to hot) This works in the manner of a curling iron and your mascara will act in a similar manner to hairspray, keeping your luscious lashes curled tightly up all day, which will brighten and draw attention to your eyes.
Yogurt! Yogurt just screams beauty. The best facial scrub I have ever used is homemade and it starts with plain (unflavored) yogurt. Grind an avocado seed or the pit of an apricot. These are both great exfoliants. I also like to add a little oatmeal because it hold moisture and will add to the softness effect. Scrub and rinse, this leaves your face soft and clean, and it feels magnificent!
And for my last tip, I will lean towards a topic every woman loves, a nice hot bath. There is nothing better or more relaxing. Try this mixture next time you are in the mood for the pampering cleansing. 1 1/2 cups of milk, 1/4 cup of oatmeal, and a teaspoon of peppermint oil. The oatmeal once again acts as a moisture agent. The milk does the same, and you will really be able to feel a difference in your skin. As for the peppermint oil, it creates a very invigorating aroma, to provide the perfect setting for relaxation.
I encourage you to try these methods, I can personally tell you they are great, and don’t be afraid to experiment with own. You never know what beauty phenomenons you may come up with!

I’m not sure I’m that inventive but I’m glad somebody is! I usually just grab a pony tail and some lip gloss and hope nobody notices!

I actually use the fabric sheet for my hair..lol. I don’t know what it is about the darn desert that makes my hair look like I’ve been electrocuted…lol. I will have to try the lash curler technique. God didn’t bless me with long lashes, so I will try anything to draw those bad boys out.. Take care.

These are good tips and the facial scrub sounds a lot cheaper than the big name brands in stores. Hope loads of readers try your tips, but for me, I need a lot of HELP to look decent nevermind beautiful, but I’m too scared and too broke to resort to the surgeons knife lol… Great work
