Can you protect your face and still wear make-up in Australia’s hot summer days? Yes, with the proper products. Going out on a hot summer day with make-up can have its concerns. So I went out, just for you, with my ivory rosacea skin to prove that you can go out and out I went to catch a bus to the shopping mall, where I waited 15 minutes in the sun for that bus and worked up a sweat doing some shopping at the mall and proved that you can wear make-up and not get burnt and found a way to keep myself cool.

First, before you got out and before you apply your make-up apply Nivea Sun Light Feel Daily Face Veil SPF 30 cream. It is a sunscreen for us ladies or men if you please, that feels like a milky moisturiser and not the texture or feel of a sunscreen. You only need to apply a small amount to give the coverage you need not only for your face, but neck and décolletage, too. You can even apply on other parts of your body and reapply to the face during the day if you need to. 

So now you’re protected from the sun now comes make-up protection. Apply your make-up as usual. If you’re going to wear a mascara use a waterproof one like Covergirl’s VolumeExact Waterproof Mascara and if you’re looking for mascara with colour try the Bourjois Maxi Frange Waterproof Mascara. 

So how do you keep your make-up in place and not come home looking like Pepe Le Peu? Once you have applied your make-up spritz yourself with A’kin Pure Rose Hydrating Mist. It’s like spraying yourself with water with a hint of rose. It not only tones and sets your make-up it will keep it from running. While out if you start to sweat or get hot take out the mist spray from your trusty handbag and spray yourself again on the face and soon you will be cooled down and confident in knowing your make-up is still set and is not going to run down your face.
