Perfume Vs. Scented Body Oils
Informed content on how different perfume is to scented body oils, and a brief overview of how useful essential oils are.
I am pleased to bring you an article that has baked my noodle since I was a little girl. Respectable ladies and gentlemen all over the world love to smell good. For many people smelling good is therapy.
What is the difference between perfume and scented body oils? Perfumes are fundamentally oil based and mixed with a type of alcohol, however it doesn’t seem to last all day the way body oils do. Body oils are oils scented from many different sources like plants. No alcohol or preservatives added, but it is cut (Cut: mixed with other oils to dilute the content)on the street. Body oils these days are cut with other mild oils such as mineral oil or baby Oil, and vegetable oils to make it more pliable to the general public for minimal allergy reactions. Concentrated oils organically made can be highly damaging to the human skin. It may burn skin, and develop rash irritations and sometimes first degree burns, blisters, and/or hives. Many people prefer perfume because the mixture is less abrasive to the senses. Perfumes that have a higher dilution of alcohol tend to leave dry patches on the skin and may change if mixed with scented lotions.
Body oils stain clothing (Lord help you if you’re wearing white), and tends to linger after a shower. Note: Fellas, if you have a woman who wears body oils and you don’t want to inherit the scent, stay under the shower for 5 more minutes and sud-up before getting dressed.
The Best Perfume List (Perfumes that keep their scent for atleast 12 hours) are:
Victoria Secrets Love, Seduction, Sensual, and Lilac (There are more varieties to thier line of body sprays, shower gel, bubble bath, and lotions, all scented- you’ll love it!)
Britney Spears
Paris Hilton (Just Me)
Usher
I am very picky when it comes to my senses. I’m not a big fan of perfume but these are the ones I have been given and I love them.
The Best Oils List:
Coco Mango, Baby Powder (for the nights I sleep alone), Booty Call, Samoli Rose, Strawberry and Cherry (if you can find it. Try the village in Manhattan), Coconut, Chocolate, Chocolate Mint, Carmel, and ROSE.
Note: The best merchants for scented body oils are the Muslim street vendors of NYC all boro’s. They also sell organic soaps, and incense. Trust me you’ll have a ball, they’ll give you a sample of items to try on your skin for an allergy test. The Muslim vendors are very fair. You’ll find the best items there.
Since we’re talking about oils, i thought I’d touch a little bit on Essential Oils also. Tere are many kinds of essential oils as there are many uses depending upon the concentration for that particular product. In other words, some oils are made for candle making whether pillars, gel, or soy votives. Mildly concentrated for less solid items like gel candles, and sometimes soft soy candles.
Top 10 Of The Cool Things About Essential Oils:
1) Strong scent
2) Long lasting scent
3) Easy to dilute without losing the quality
4) Versitility- these oils have many uses
5) Concentrated contents lasts longer
6) Less is more- A little goes a long way
7) Make great gifts
Easy to store- store below 65-70 degrees F*
9) Masks odors- donot use as a body oil, may burn or allergic reaction.
