Do you ever wonder why babies have such nice soft skin? Tips and Ideas to get the skin you used to have or always wanted. What might help you look and feel younger.

Do you ever wonder why babies have such nice soft skin? It is because we are born with a natural balance of oils on our skin and moisture within it. Also because they have not been exposed to as many of the elements as we have as we age.

Beauty truly does come from within and as children we are setting the stage for our future skin growth. I am sure that you hear all the time how you should eat health wise foods and how that will effect your skin, but what if you could just go back to the days when it wasn’t such a worry to keep up with the night regime and watching calories and intake. We have so many other worries in our lives; family, love, marriage, dating if your single, relationships, work, shopping, bills, wow, wouldn’t it be nice to be able to just take one off the list. I mean constantly on top of all that we have to keep up with we need to think about the way we look, fashions, hair, make up. There is just so much. I am sure you already know this but all of that outside stress puts a lot of stress on the inside of you too. So as children, when we are setting that stage for our life, how are we setting the stage for future skin growth? Let me tell you.

We start by looking at the eating habits we have as a child usually they are pretty good because most parents try to make sure that their children at least get some kind of good food, right? No. Kids are living on pop and candy and now coffees and junk food, fast food and other nasty processed food. We are making sure they are eating but we are setting that stage for bad food habits and slowing the growth of those skins cells. Now think back about your own childhood, how did you eat? Did you weigh a lot, were you active, what was your skin like? If you answered in any negative way then you need to stop and figure out how to get your skin cells to replace themselves faster. Why would you want to do that? Here are a few simple reasons.

  1. If it is replacing itself faster then you have a constant supply of baby fresh cells blooming on your skin.
  2. If your cells on your skin are replacing faster, chances are your other cells are replacing faster and that means your circulation is up.
  3. If your circulation is up and you are replacing cells faster then chances are that all the energy that you didn’t have before is now starting to burst your body into motion.
  4. If your body is bursting into motion chances are that the new found energy you have is going to burn up calories you didn’t used to burn and now your going to use up some of those fats stores.
  5. If your using up those fat stores chances are you getting some exercise and if your exercising, chances are that your stress level is decreasing or your handling it better, well, at least your insides would be and then those stress fat areas will be decreasing.

I hope that is enough of a reason for you to want to think about changing your habits and getting you skin to replace itself faster. Now, how do you change them? I am not going to give you a list because I am sure that by this point you have read too many articles already on healthy eating habit. What I am going to do is tell you how I deal with stress and make my skin look like I am in, well, someone thought I was in my twenties the other day but I did ask him how much he had to drink, lets just say I don’t look as old as I am, right now I am almost 42. You can judge for yourself if you want to go find my picture.

Instead of reaching for food when you are depressed, talk to yourself and have a good cry. I told my kids the other day that I still use my imaginary friends to keep me going. I am not crazy, I promise. I don’t actually see them and I don’t actually hear them talk to me, but I pretend that they. All that validation I need from other people to tell me I look good or to get up and get moving, I use my imaginary friends. In a sense I am telling myself all the things I need to hear or I am venting to myself, but, go figure, doing that to myself would feel weird. I am a writer, what can I say. So instead of food, find a way to vent to yourself or pump yourself up. Easier said than done, but that is what the imaginary friends are for.

I moisturize. I am a very avid tanner, I own a tanning bed and I have been told for years that I am going to ruin my skin and I smoke. So I make sure that I am replacing everything the elements might be taking out. I clean with witch hazel and then moisturize with a good product for my skin type. I like to use Burt Bees eye cream around my eyes and lips, and what ever I need at the time on the rest of my skin. Take advantage of the plug for Burt bees cause I don’t mention actual products often. But any product with bee pollen or royal jelly is wonderful. Honey is wonderful too on your skin and in your body, I use local honey to combat my allergies because the pollen I am allergic to is in the honey and it kind of gives me an allergy shot. It helps me build up immunities to local pollen. I am allergic to bees too so I am careful about how I use bee pollen, I can’t take the pills but my skin does really well with it.

I do Yoga face exercises. I stretch those muscles around my mouth. What happens to that muscles is that it is so contracted all the time that it almost gets stuck like that. It is thinking, wow, why move I will just be right back like this in a minute. So I open my mouth as wide as I can and I stick my tongue out as far as I can and I old it there for at least 30 seconds and repeat it through out the day.

I take time to myself to relax every muscle in my body. I lie down and tense up all my muscles starting in my hands, then up my arms to my neck and head then down my whole body to my feet, then I relax every muscles, moving backwards from my feet to my hands. I then lie there for whatever time I have left to lie down. You can even do this before you go to bed to help you sleep. This is teaching the rest of my muscles to relax just like my mouth and then my stress is relieved a little too. I try to make sure that this is quiet time and that I am not interrupted with my life.

All of these simple steps that I do help to increase the flow of blood to my skin, increase my skin growth, my metabolism and relieve my stress, all these factors that if slowed can effect your whole body which shows on the outside too. They also increase the amount of compliments I get on my skin, hair, nails and what good shape I am in for having four kids and being 42. As far as setting my stage as a child, I did all this when I was little except for taking care of skin with moisturizers and cleaning it.
