Vacuum pumps for breast enlargement is one of safer alternatives to plastic surgery. This article discusses the cons and pros of using breast vacuum pumps for breast augmentation.
Many women would like to increase their breast size but are afraid of the complications if they try the plastic surgery for breast enlargement. One of the non-surgical alternatives is increasing the cup size through using vacuum pump for breasts or vacuum bra. The way this works is that mechanical force is applied continuously to breast tissue which will grow in response to this stimulation.
The results of study by German surgeons (Kardorff. B, Kardorff. M and Dorittke P.) in one patient showed increase in nipple size by 5 cm and 4 cm increase in chest circumference after 3 months of treatment. The downside was that skin got irritated and inflamed.
The Brava vacuum bra system (Brava LLC Miami, Fla.) currently on the market will allow women to increase the cup size but only in the modest amount – 100 cc or the one cup size. The vacuum bra has to be applied for 11 hours a day. Apparently, the longer they are applied the greater are the results.
The study by plastic surgeons in Austria (Schlenz I. and Kaider A) showed that this “external breast tissue expander” could effectively enlarge the breasts without surgery for the long term. However they found that problem with this method was that many women (25%) were dissatisfied with the results. Some of the reasons for dissatisfaction were that the treatment was too bothersome and there was too little growth.
This system does work. But women have to understand first that they can’t expect too much of this treatment. The cup size will only increase by one. Women will have to endure the cumbersome equipment worn every day for a few months. The other downside is the cost which is about $2500–3000. On the other hand, it is a good alternative to surgery with minimal risk and breast size increase is permanent.
