Natural Way to Hold Curly Hair

Homemade (inexpensive) natural spray for curly hair and ways to keep it curly.

A simple homemade (inexpensive) mixture of two products can produce curls from roots to tips!  This is commonly used for natural curly hair, although it creates a ‘just off the beach look’ for straight and wavy haired folk.

Here is what you need:

8 oz of distilled water

1 1/2 tsp natural sea salt

*optional* 1 tsp good natural gel (I just put in a glob of gel per eight ounces of water, but for those who measure this seems about right)

Combine all ingredients in a spray bottle and shake well.  Viola!  InstaCurl!

Wash hair with a natural conditioner but DO NOT towel dry.  Squeeze most of the water out of your hair with your hands and simply wrap in a cloth.  DO NOT pat or rub hair with towel, simply place hair in cloth and wrap up to sit atop your head.  When cloth is removed and water is no longer dripping from your hair you are ready to style. Simply spray hair with homemade concoction and scrunch in hands.  If needed wrap in cloth again only if water is dripping from the hair.  *Air drying provides the best quality of curl.

TIP:

Too much salt = white patches in hair (dried salt)

If you shower at night, remove towel/cloth and place hair in a bandana to sleep.  When you wake up you’ll have curls neatly formed for the most part and you’ll be ready to style with homemade spray.

Save your bucks, skip the salon.
