Which Blush is Right for You?
Figure out if you a powder girl or a tint woman.
Once upon a time your choice of blush was limited to powder, powder and wait for it…powder. Now there are so many different textures available it’s hard to know which one you should be using. Read on to find out more about your options and there pro’s and con’s:
Powder
The tried and true classic. Long-lasting and suitable for all skin types. Great for when you want strong colour. The downside? It needs careful blending and can become blotchy if you have oily skin. It doesn’t have the same natural look as some of the other options.
Cream
Easily applies with your fingers, cream blush gives you a youthful and luminous glow. However it doesn’t have the staying power of other blushes and can accentuate and lumps and bumps.
Liquids & Gels
A super-natural looking blush that never fades. These tints create a sheer colour that looks entirely natural. Perfect for when you want to rock a ‘natural’ look. They can be tricky to apply, with the product often drying before blending is completed.
Mousse
Light and subtle, the velvet finish of mousse blushes suits just about everyone. They glide on easily and have real staying power. Some are matte while others are shimmery, and don’t fret, they won’t go on as bright as they look in the container!

I hardly ever use blush on my skin (I’m Asian) so I’m not particularly sure which type would suit me but this gives me a much bigger idea of what I should look for really. I think mousse is the best because I’ve used it once and I was quite satisfied with the result but the creams I find really dodgy for some reason. Good article.
