Makeup Colors for Green Eyes

Although many people with green eyes are often unsure of what makeup colors to use, one should keep in mind that green is one of the easiest eye colors to complement. There are a number of different makeup colors which will bring out the beautiful hue for both light green or dark green eyes. Here are some of the makeup colors to take into consideration.

Purple

Have you ever noticed how good purple and green look together? These colors really complement one another. It is important to keep in mind that the eye color that you have should determine the shade of purple that you use. Those with light green eyes will fare better with darker purple shades, but those with dark green eyes should select light purple eye shadow. The smoky eye look done with shades of purple eye shadow looks great on people who have green eyes.

Green

Most people with green eyes would not normally think of wearing green eye shadow. It is very hard to picture someone with blue eyes wearing blue eye shadow. However, this trick can work very well for someone with green eyes. Just like with purple eye shadow, it is a good idea to opt for a shade opposite of your eye color. Dark green eyes will be enhanced better by light green eye shadow, while the color of light green eyes will stand out much more with dark green eye shadow. Avoid using more than one shadow, however. Green eye shadow should be worn subtly, so it’s important not to overdo it. 

Brown

Brown eye shadow is another great choice for people with green eyes. Although it does not seem like a great choice, the two work together well for one reason: they are both earthy colors. Green eyes are brought out significantly by brown. This is another great choice if you are looking for a color to do the smoky eye shadow look with. Keep in mind that brown eyeliner can be a good choice. Black eyeliner will do a much better job of enhancing light green eyes, however.

Green eyes can be easily enhanced using a variety of different colors. No matter what color it is that you are interested in using, there is a good chance that it will probably look great with green eyes. Purple, green and brown tend to be some of the best choices, however.
