Running eyeliner is a common thing among ladies who put on eyeliner. During the middle or end of the day when we look at the mirrors to check our makeup, we look like we have dark circles under our eyes. This can be not a very pretty sight especially when we are around other people. Banging Beauty gives you some tips on how to prevent your eyeliner from running.

1. Apply eye cream before you put on your eye makeup.
An eye cream moisturizes your eye area and acts as a barrier between your skin and your makeup. If you are prone to running eyeliner, you may want to consider apply an eye base or a primer on top of your eye cream. Your face primer may do the trick, but if you want something professional, you can go for a product such as Benefit’s She Laq. They prevent your eyeliner from running and make your eye makeup stay longer.
2. If you have oily eyelids, try blotting with a tissue first.
This is to remove any oil or moisture residue before you put your eyeliner.
3. Set your eyelids with some face powder before applying eyeliner.
They help your eyeliner to stay longer.
4. Invest in a good waterproof and long-wearing eyeliner.
Investing in a good eyeliner that suits you may require you to experiment with different brands to find out which suits you the best. People who live in humid areas tend to experience a higher chance of eyeliner running. A liquid eyeliner tends to be longer lasting than a crayon or pencil eyeliner. You may want to look into a liquid eyeliner if your eyeliner tends to run easily.
5. Touch up when necessary.
Sometimes it is inevitable to experience some running eyeliner especially if you had a long day. You can easily touch up by easily a tissue to gently run the dark circles underneath your eyes caused by your eyeliner. Use your face powder to touch up by patting gently underneath your eyes.
I use the above tips to prevent my eyeliner from running and they have worked great. It will work for you too. Cheers!
