Foundation for a Smooth Finish

The foundation is the most basic tool of make-up. It can make or mar your appearance depending on the correct or incorrect shade choice. To be precise, a foundation prefects your skin, enhances its natural qualities and brings about a beautiful healthy glow.

It protects the skin by creating a barrier against dirt and pollution in the environment. It evens out skin coloring, camouflages trouble spots.

You should choose a foundation matching your own skin tone, no more than one shade lighter or darker. When applied on skin if there is a distinct line it is too dark, a chalky appearance means it is too light.

Application:

1. With clean fingertips, take foundation directly from the bottle on the palm of your hand
2. Dot foundation on the forehead, nose, cheeks and chin. Do not forget your eyelids.
3. With a moist sponge blend the foundation using light outward and upward strokes
4. Blot of excess with a tissue
5. Set the foundation with a translucent powder for a matte finish or a spritz of mineral water for a dewy finish
6. If you need touch up by noon, use compact powder which lasts longer
