Are You Wearing Make Up When You Sleep at Night?

Are you wearing make up when you sleep at night?

In  daily life, I rarely wear make up like: mascara, eye shadow, lipstick, etc. The only make up  I use everyday is: cream and powder for my face. For my body, I use body milk and perfume. I use lipstick when I go to a party or any other family occasion. I don’t feel comfortable with myself if I am wearing too much make up.

I know someone who is quite the opposite of me, she is always wearing make up even when she sleeps. Isn’t it too much if you are wearing make up like eye shadow and mascara while you are sleeping? In my opinion, when we sleep,  it is not only our mind and body that needs to rest. Our face needs to rest too. What do you think? Are you wearing make up when you sleep at night? Or do  you only wear make up during the day? Or don’t you use make up at all?

Wearing make up at night times is incredibly unhealthy. Foundation doesn’t let your pores breathe at night time and like you said, your face needs to rest a bit. I use face cream only and occassionally I love mascara but I always take off the mascara before I sleep because it stings your eyes when you wake up in the morning and that too, I’m a contact lens user. Release your make up for a while whilst sleeping is what I agree with.

You are right, Atikin. It is very not healthy sleep with a make up.

I’m 51 years old and have always slept in my makeup–for about 35 yrs. I look younger than any of my friends, and am always guessed as someone in my 30’s. I do believe in giving the skin a rest but there is paranoia about sleeping in it that is ridiculous.
Giving yourself good facials occasionally and eating a good diet is more important!
