A makeup look involving lovely shades of purple and gold shimmering on your eyelids.
I recently purchased a couple of eyeshadow shades from Everyday Minerals. I bought Net Surfing and Mystic Night out of their Shimmering collection. I’ve tried them a couple times before this, and I’ve learned a couple things. First, some sort of primer is a must. Second, Net Surfing is a bit darker than you would think. Even so, using some other products I have, I’ve found a way to apply the two shades that I like fairly well. So let’s get started.
First, I applied my moisturizer, lip balm, foundation, concealer, finishing powder, brow powder and blush. Step by step on that can be found in my previous article, but here’s the finished result:

Then I applied Wet’n'Wild Eye Expressions in Avant-Garde, a sticky and sparkly creme shadow which I wouldn’t use alone, because it creases really bad without something over top of it. It makes a good primer when you’re using loose eyeshadow/pigment powders. I used the lightest color in the kit and applied from lash to brow.

I then applied Everyday Minerals Net Surfing on the outer half of my lid, smudging it out just slightly

Then, I applied Maybelline Lux Lilac Expertwear eye shadow on the middle of my lid, but not all the way to the inner corner. I blended it slightly into the Net Surfing. Would like to get a nice light purple from Everyday minerals to use instead, but the Maybelline works for now.

I then applied Everyday Minerals Mystic Night to just my creases. I did this in a careful dabbing motion, rather than sweeping because when dealing with darker shades, you risk fallout on your cheeks. I also went ahead and applied a light gold shade from a Love My Eyes quad pack as a highlight on my inner corners and on my brow.

Now of course, we need to blend here. My closed eye pic didn’t come out, so open it is.

After this, I decided to apply black NYX liner to my waterline.

Then mascara. Maybelline Great Lash in Blackest Black, as usual.

Then lip gloss. I decided to go with something subtle, so I applied e.l.f. gloss in fairy.

So now we’re done!
