Making your own cosmetics can be fun and can save you a lot of money. There are many different ways that you can make your own cosmetics. The following recipes are very simple and do not require a lot of extra tools.
How to Make Your Own Chocolate Lip Gloss
Chocolate is very good for your skin. It helps to nourish, moisturize, and protect it. This is a very safe and easy recipe to make your own chocolate lip gloss–it is even safe for children. You will need 3 tablespoons of cocoa butter, 1 vitamin E capsule, and 5 chocolate chips. Place all of the ingredients in a double boiler, cook over medium heat until all of the ingredients are melted. Remove from heat and stir well with a wooden spoon. Pour into a small, clean container and refrigerate until hard and smooth.
How to Make Your Own Eye Shadow
Making your own eye shadow can be a great way to use up eye shadow colors that you don’t really like. Simply put the mixture of eye shadow colors you want to use into a Ziploc bag, seal the bag, and press powders until they are well mixed. Then, add a binder to the powder mixture. This binder can be a professional spray that you purchased or distilled water. Add the binder to the powder mixture and combine them well. Now place the mixture in a small, clean container and press down using the back of a spoon.
How to Make Your Own Body Glitter
Body glitter can be the perfect accessory–when used in moderation. To make your own body glitter, you will need 1/4 cup of aloe vera gel, 1 teaspoon of glycerin, 1/4 teaspoon of fine polyester glitter, and 5 drops of your favorite fragrance oil. In a small bowl combine the aloe vera gel and glycerin, stir well. Stir in the glitter and fragrance oil. Use as desired and store the remaining glitter in a tightly sealed container.
How to Make Your Own Eyeliner
You can make your own eyeliner in only 10 minutes with a few simple ingredients. The first thing you will need to do is gather your supplies: a lighter, a pair of tweezers, a spoon, an almond, olive oil, and an applicator brush. Place the almond in the tweezers, holding the tweezers over the sink, light the almond on fire. It may take a few minutes for the almond to burn, once the almond has burnt, place it in the spoon and gently break it up until it is a powder. Add a few drops of olive oil and mix well. Apply to the eye using an applicator brush.
How to Make Your Own Mascara
You can make your own mascara with two simple ingredients: charcoal and petroleum jelly. All you need to do is crush the charcoal until it is a fine powder, removing any bigger chucks. In a small bowl combine the charcoal and petroleum jelly. Put this mixture into an old mascara bottle that has been thoroughly cleaned.
