How to Do a Leopard Print Manicure

This popular print is so cute on your nails and not as difficult as it looks…

Animal prints are everywhere, and why not add this fun pattern to your nails?

First, you will need a gold, tan or other neutral shade as your mail color.  Starting with clean, dry nails, apply two coats of polish and allow to dry.

Next, you will need a similar color, such as a bronze or light orange, for the center of the leopard spots.  In very random patterns, apply spots on each nail and allow to dry.

Thirdly, you will need some permanent, acrylic black paint and a mechanical pencil lead (you may also use a toothpick, but it may not work as well as the wood starts to break down) or a black striping brush.  Apply thin lines around each spot, leaving open spaces, not fully enlosing the spot.  You may also add small black dashes as desired.  It may help to look at a photo of a leopard print that you like.

Fourthly, after your nails have dried, preserve your new manicure with a good top coat, such as “Out The Door,” (available at Sally Beauty Supply).

Enjoy your new look and feel free to experiment with other colors, too!
