Teens and Their Hair Color

What is the best hair color for your teenager daughter?
We are in October and the weather is changing because we are in fall. Many girls in my neighborhood, like the leaves, decided to change their color. In their case they decided to dye their hair. It is amazing the amount of young girls that I see each day at the beauty salon.
Most of them want to be blonde or redheads. Many blonde girls want to have light brown hair. Couple of them dyed their hair black. There are girls that get highlights. They love that they look so different after just dyeing their hair. The only thing that worries me is, that most of this girls are twelve, thirteen and fourteen years old.
In my opinion, girls that are in their early teenager years, should not change their hair color dramatically. If their parents allow them, they should select a hair color similar to their natural hair color. For example, a darker color will help them to hide damage hair and make their hair look more alive. If they have dark brown hair, they should think it carefully before becoming a blonde. I will recommend taking it one step at a time. Maybe, they should first change their hair color to light brown. After they get use to this color, then they can dye it blonde.
One thing I will definitely recommend all these girls, and their parents, is to go to a beauty salon. Deciding the best hair color for a teenager girl and dyeing their hair for the first time, is something that only a professional should do.

Very interesting article. I never dyed mine when I was younger but after highschool I bleached my hair, and went blond…then dyed it all PINK!…and now a darker red. It’s fun,but definately getting it professionally done is the best route (something I never done) Thanks for sharing!
