Natural Way to Control Dandruff
Here are some tips you can do to control dandruff through natural means and home remedies.
Brush Your Hair Before Bathing
Brushing your hair loosens dirt and dead skin. Bushing your hair makes it easier to wash off dandruff from your hair. Try brushing your hair before you wash your hair. Brushing while your hair is wet is more likely to cause broken hair strands.
Baking Soda Paste
This by far is one of the most effective methods for cleaning heavy dandruff from hair. Take a teaspoon of baking soda mix in with some water to make a paste. Apply the paste with your finger tips onto your scalp. This just takes a minute. Then wash your hair as usual.
Vinegar Rinse
You can do this once a week, it helps keep the hair clean and removes product build up. Mix in one table spoon of vinegar with water. Use the mixture to rinse your hair. That’s it. The acidity removes any residues from your hair that can’t be cleaned by shampoo.

Sulfur Soap
You can buy sulfur as soap or powder. Mix it in your shampoo or just use the soap to wash your scalp. If your dandruff is caused by fungus or yeast, sulfur is the fastest way to get rid of that. Apply the sulfur on your scalp, let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse off.
Avoid Hot Water
Using hot water to wash your hair dries out your hair and makes your scalp itchy.
Nizoral
This is a very expensive shampoo, and I know it’s not exactly Natural. But it’s the most effective product in the market right now for heavy, persistent dandruff. Use this product sparingly and only as needed. Do not use it as your regular shampoo because your dandruff gets used to the chemical and becomes immune.
