It’s Not a Women Thing, It’s a Hair Thing

Going to the beauty supply, is something I do a lot. Therefore I go to the beauty supply at least once a week. There are times that I even stop by the beauty aisle, when I go to the pharmacy.  I just want to see,  if there is anything new.

During these visits, sometimes I buy a hair product because I need to. Like for example, next time I go to the beauty supply, I know I need to buy a small bottle of peroxide and  two small bottles of hair color. I also know, I need shampoo and conditioner. Other times, I buy hair products at the beauty supply because I want to try them.

Every time I go to the beauty supply, it is full of people. The majority of them are women, but there are also men. Most of them have a discount beauty card. These cards used to be only for hair professionals. Nowadays almost everybody can get one. People can even get a special one to put in their key holder. In this way, when they are at the register they do not have to look in their wallets for it.

As a result of all my visits to the beauty supply, I have a cabinet full of hair products. My husband cannot understand why I need so many products for my hair. He is the kind of man that washes his hair with the first shampoo he grabs from the bathroom cabinet, and he hardly ever uses a hair-conditioner. On the other side, my brothers are more like me. They have a favorite shampoo and a favorite hair-conditioner they like to use. In addition to that, one of my brothers also uses hair gel. He buys different ones, but he has his favorite one.

I think about the amount of hair products that people like me buy, every time that my husbands asks me about it. I can only tell  my husband, and people like him one thing.  There are people who need to have and need to use different hair products. There are people that need to use different hair products and they do not use them. I just want to be sure I’m taking care of my hair the best way I can. Taking good care of your hair is not a women thing, it is an important thing that we all should do.
