Moved to a new city? Tired of the same cut and style? What you should considering when searching for a new hair stylist.

Trying to find the perfect stylist can take time, unfortunately it can also take multiple bad cuts and numerous bad attitudes.  Whether your hair long or short, thick or thin, you want to ensure that your stylist is comfortable and trained with your texture hair.  With a little research and the right questions you can find the perfect stylist and avoid another trip to the chop shop.

The most important part of choosing a stylist is finding someone who flatters your personality.  When you call a salon for the first time you should provide all relevant information to your hair situation, for example, you are 21 with thick medium length hair, you are looking for something short and fun, however it must have a conservative twist for all those job interviews you’ll be going on.  With this information the receptionist should be able to find a stylist who will compliment your style.

Go online and research the companies training qualifications and whether they provide additional training for stylists.

Ask friends, family, and co-workers.

Call a salon and ask for a consultation only, this is a way to interview the stylist personality and creativity
