Need a different style? No curling iron? Dont worry all you need is a flat iron to create stunning curls!

Curling irons can be expensive or can be rubbish, but there is another way to curl your hair WITHOUT a curling iron. All you need is a flat iron or straightener and away we go!

Before you actually start curling your hair you need to apply heat defence into your hair, this will help protect it from split ends and such, you should apply heat protector before you use any kind of heat styling tool like a hairdryer.

Once you’ve applied your heat defence section your hair off.  Put your thumbs on the top of each ear and run them through your hair and they should meet in the middle then tie the upper part of your hair and clip it, it should look something like this

Next make sure your flat iron is heated up, then take a section of your hair roughly about an inch wide and clamp your flat iron 3cm away from the root of your hair. Before you glide down your hair turn the flat iron 360° so that the hair is wrapped around your flat iron and there is a strand coming out of in between the plates. Slowly pull down but without strength, gently does it and once you finish twist your curl with your fingers to form it even more. Do this to the rest of your hair and you will have beautiful locks.

To finish this style just hairspray it so that the curls will hold for longer, if you have thick hair it’s a good idea to pin some back, this style is good for casual and dressy occasions.

Tip – The slower you run the flat iron through your hair the tighter the curl, the quicker you run your iron through your hair the looser the curl.
