One of the most important decisions that you will have to make when it comes down to hair implants is whether or not you will opt for real ones or artificial hair implants.

One of the most important decisions that you will have to make when it comes down to hair implants is whether or not you will opt for real ones or artificial hair implants. Of course both will have advantages and disadvantages and they will be suited to different people with different balding levels but at the end of the day, the choice is most definitely down to you.

One of the main things that will determine your decision to use real or artificial hair implants is the amount of real hair that you have available on your own scalp and how easy it will be to use the remaining hair to fill out the balding spots. If you have a lot of balding, it will not be easy to remove hair from the remaining patches so artificial hair implants may be the best option open to you. Of course the synthetic hair will not grow and this can mean limited styles especially for women. Real hair implants will grow just like your natural hair and this is very often why it is the right decision for many but you need to have enough hair left on the scalp to make this possible.

The good thing about artificial hair implants is that you can pick from a variety of colours, shades and even lengths and the technology has come a long way in recent years. You can now have synthetic hair that matches your hair colour exactly and no one will ever know that the hair you have on your head is not your own or indeed real. The other thing that you will notice with artificial hair implants is that you can even pick hair with a wave, curl or dead straight meaning that the fake hair will match your own perfectly.

There is very often a worry that you can do less with artificial hair implants than you can do with the real ones but the reality is very different. You may have to be more careful with regards to styling your “fake” hair but as long as you follow the directions that are given to your by your surgeon or consultant, you will find yourself with no worries at all. Just remember that the advice that you are given is for a reason and if you do not want to return with “frazzled” hair, look after it!
