The women have sharp features softened only by their doe like eyes. The beauty of the eyes are enhanced by a unique eye make-up the woman apply and with which they grow up even as young girls. Their dusky colour adds to the mystery. Dressed in the traditional ‘Mundu’ (A two piece handloom robe with golden or colourful borders) they are an eyeful. The beauty of the women of Keral have been extolled in epics, ballads, songs and folklores for ages.
