Do you need to do something about your eyebrows? Here are some tips on how to decide whether waxing or plucking is right for you.
The decision to wax or pluck your eyebrows may seem like an easy one. As long as you take care of your eyebrows, it doesn’t really matter what you decide, right? Wrong! While it may seem like a huge issue, the results that you get from plucking will be a whole lot different from the results that you get from waxing. Here are some factors that you should be sure to take into consideration when trying to decide what is right for you.
Pain
There are some people who feel that the amount of pain that you have to endure from waxing your eyebrows is not worth even bothering. However, it is important to look at this from another perspective. Waxing your eyebrows is a lot like pulling a band-aid off. Although it may be painful at the time, it goes away shortly. When plucking eyebrows, you will experience pain until you have finished.
Ease of Shaping
If you are trying to figure out how to achieve the best shape for your eyebrows, then you may want to think about plucking for at least the first time or so. While it is possible to find an eyebrow shape through waxing, it is much easier to find it with plucking. Then, once you have figured out what shape you want the eyebrows to be, you can maintain it through waxing if you want.
Appearance
It is safe to say that the end result of waxing eyebrows is a lot better than the result that can be achieved through plucking. The reason is because the area beneath the eyebrows will look much more refined. Although it is very likely for people to miss a few hairs when they pluck their eyebrows, waxing usually does a very good job of getting rid of the hair.
Cost
Plucking is, of course, free. The only thing that you need to do is buy yourself a pair of quality tweezers. Waxing can be somewhat expensive when it is done at a salon. Most places charge about $7 for waxing and you will need to have it done every two to four weeks. There are DIY kits, but these will also cost more money than simply plucking.
Many factors should be taken into consideration before making the decision to wax or pluck your eyebrows. No matter what it is that you decide on, it is important to keep in mind that the right option varies according to person. While some people are satisfied with plucking, there are others who would only ever consider waxing their eyebrows. If you do not like the results that you get from either option, keep in mind that your eyebrows will go back quickly so there is no need to stress about it!
