In this guide you will learn how to look your best and how to indulge yourself with a relaxing foot spa.
Here are some beauty tips for you to beat the beauty rush:
-
Soak It In
The best remedy for dull, tired skin is a tinted oil-free moisturizer with sun protection. It will give you both moisture and coverage.
-
Get On Base
If you prefer foundation to a tinted moisturizer, opt for a liquid formula with a matte finish. It will even out your skin tone and get rid of excess oil in one step — no powder necessary.
Apply it only where coverage is needed — usually the forehead, nose, under the eyes, and around the mouth.
-
Run For Cover
Woke up with dark circles or a pimple? Concealers with a sponge-tip applicator are non-greasy and quick-drying, so there’s no need to top with powder. Just dab on and blend with your finger.
-
Find Some Lift
Make eyes look bigger with curling mascara. Look for one with a small wand, which makes application easier and clumps less likely.
-
Mix and Match
Quickly coordinate your lips and cheeks with this simple suggestion: Use your favorite rosy lip color on lips, then mix it with a bit of foundation or concealer to create a cream blush. Or choose a product that can be used on lips, cheeks, and eyes.
-
Go Bold
A powder eye pencil makes applying shadow a cinch. Just glide some on your lids, and blend in with your finger for intense color.
-
Eyebrows
Dust a bit of bronzer over the brow bone to help disguise stray hairs. Fill in any gaps in your arches with a powder-based pencil, which makes quick sketching easier.
-
Do-It-Yourself Foot Spa
After work, you can indulge yourself with a relaxing foot spa. Here’s a simple way to pamper yourself anytime:
Try this easy step-by-step guide for a time-efficient and cost-efficient spa treatment right in the comforts of your own home.
You’ll need: A large basin; pre-made foot bath mixture product: double-sided foot files; nail cutter; emery nail files; foot deodorant soap: softening lotion; and nipper.
- Fill a large basin with warm water. Add 1 tablespoon of foot bath mixture for every 3 to 5 liters of water.
- Soak your feet for 10 to 20 minutes.
- File away your calluses with double-sided foot file.
- Leaving less than 1/8″ white tip, cut toenails straight across with nail cutter. Then file from corner to keep nails from splitting with emery nail files. Be careful not to cut the nails too short as this can cause ingrown toenails and can be quite painful.
- Scrub your legs and feet with foot deodorant soap. Rinse.
- Dry feet thoroughly (including between the toes) and moisturize with softening lotion. Massage your feet, especially the toes and the center of your soles.
- Want to give yourself a pedicure? Push back cuticles with an orange stick and cut off hangnails with a nipper.
Pamper your feet at least once a week to keep them sensational!
