Cosmetic Surgery: In for a Nose Dive?

Comments on the growth of cosmetic surgeries in today’s economy.

In today’s tough economy, will breast augmentations sag? Will cutting out the fat with liposuction be replaced by cutting out the fat in our budgets? These are questions that give new meaning to the term “down-sizing”.

The answers are as plain as the nose on your face. With even the wealthiest Americans evaluating their portfolios more closely, cosmetic surgeries may have to take a back seat. The idea of having to live with the nose you were born with?! Well, let’s not loose our heads. Eventually, the economy will make an up-turn, and so will the noses on many a Hollywood celebrity.

What will the country’s landscape look like in the next few years? Will we notice that women are less perky and more natural looking than today’s top-shelf women? The future of cosmetic surgery will, more than likely, continue to grow. Possibly the stocks of some silicone companies may fall, but you can bet your (non-lifted) bottom dollar that this industry will take a temporary hit.
