Beauty Tips: Perfect Eyebrows

The best way to shape eyebrows for a beautiful, but natural look.

Many people try to follow the latest trends for eyebrow shape.  They see a celebrity on the TV or in a magazine and think, she has gorgeous eyebrows. I want them!  Then they over-pluck their eyebrows and make it difficult for the hair to grow back in the natural shape.  Follow these steps for perfect eyebrows everytime:

  1. Brush hairs upwards and trim any excess hair above your natural arch.  Be careful not to go overboard or you’ll end up with bald spots.
  2. Take a warm flannel or tissue and bathe your eyebrows to open pores and reduce pain and redness.
  3. Look at the natural shape of your eyebrow.  It should start in line with the inner corner of your eye.  The peak should be at the outer edge of your iris (the coloured part).  It should end in line with the outer corner of your eye.  To make this easier, mark it on with an eyeliner.  Don’t use black though!
  4. Hold the tweezers at a 45 degree angle and pluck any hairs below the brow line.  Pluck in the direction of hair growth or you may break the hair halfway down the shaft.  Use the guide lines you drew on and follow that shape, not the latest trend.
  5. Fill in any sparse areas with a sharp brow pencil, using light, fast strokes.
  6. If there is a lot of redness, take an ice cube and rub it gently over the redenned area.

Ta-da! Beautiful eyebrows in just a few minutes!
