A Guide to Keeping Acrylic Nails in Top Condition

For all you ladies that have acrylic nails, you know how costly it can be, and how annoying and inconvenient it can be if one of them breaks or lifts, or totally comes off.

Acrylic nails can look beautiful, whether they are the classic French Manicure white tips, or coloured crushed shells, glitters or airbrushed designs. Whatever style you choose, you want your nails to look as beautiful and elegant as possible for as long as possible.

Here are 8 tips on keeping your acrylic enhancements looking great:

• Treat nails as jewels, not tools
• Use conditioning oil at least 2 to 3 times a day
• Wear rubber gloves for housework duties, gardening and washing up
• Beware when opening car doors and ring pull cans
• Do not pick or tear the enhancement off
• Use acetone free nail varnish remover
• Have the enhancements professionally rebalanced regularly (usually 2 – 3 weeks)
• And finally…. If any breakages do occur, do not use nail glue to attempt to fix them as this can increase the risk of infection.

By following these simple guidelines, you know that you are doing all you can to ensure you nails stay in tip top condition.
